PLANT - HEAD FOAM MANUFACTURING

 

**This position only for candidates of Foam Industry**

 

Mission:

The Plant- Head Foam Manufacturing is tasked with ensuring that operations are conducted in a safe and environmentally aware manner, that business objectives are met, the team is effectively led and coached. He is also required to implement effective

continuous improvement, communication, training and development activities.

 

Areas and Tasks:

People Management:

  • Set department objective/key performance indicators and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports.
  • Ensure relevant on-going learning and development of all employees.
  • Provide technical expertise to the team.
  • Motivate and coach the team to operational success.
  • Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems.
  • Ensure KPI's are met by working to the overall plan,including management and reporting.
  • Enforce health and safety precautions

Strategy and Development:

  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of effective processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
  • Contribute to new business initiatives and projects/product and review Estimate costs and prepare budgets.
  • Determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)

Product/Process Management:

  • Ensure output meets quality standards.
  • Approve and plans maintenance work.Work as part of the management team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimise results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards requirements delivery in line with the company and customer requirement. Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadline

Product Planning and Controle:

  • Effectly plan and execute what and when to produce depending on customer requirement.
  • Ensure an effective interface with other departmental staff.Liaise and communicate with other department and other service providers.

MIS Reporting:

  • Report to upper management.
  • Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required.

Project Management:

  • Review of Coordinates in new projects and the check list.
  • Resolve technical feasibility.
  • Design optimization & product issues.
  • Resolving customeric issues/ feedbacks.
  • Documenting records in order to analyse the project performance.
  • Reporting the activities to Managing Director.

Quality Management:

  • Review in quality assurance process.
  • Team management & provides leadership.
  • Responsible for overseeing day-to-day test preparation and execution activities.
  • Manage scheduling, team communications and status reporting.
  • Managing Audits (Social/Technical / Customer)
  • Manage & reviewing the updation of standards/ compliances.
  • Promoting and overseeing use of established best practices, policies, and procedures.

Costing/Estimation:

  • Review & evaluation of costing for overall new products.
  • Verifying the parameter used in production for new developments & compare with the costing method.
  • Overall costing for walkin projects, newly developed foams (Latex/PU).
  • Regular analyses of price changes in RM & updation on the system.
  • Reporting on price impact with each change in process or RM's.
  • Negotiation on part RM's as per the costing with suppliers.

Requirements

Requirements and key responsibilities:

 

  • Minimum Qualification: Graduate Engineer, BE / B Tech
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience
  • Language: English (level A1), Hindi (level A1)
  • Knowledgement: Production Planning & Control, Process, Product, Machineries, Manpower handling, Utilities, Product Development, Estimation, Materials.
